  • What is Direct Primary Care or DPC?

Direct Primary Care, or DPC, is an alternative healthcare model where patients pay a flat membership fee for unrestricted access to a primary care doctor who cares. DPC is becoming a popular and viable way for Americans to maintain their health without worrying about copays or coinsurance. DPC has been growing in popularity since its inception a few decades ago. Now, amid a global health revolution, DPC memberships are poised to become critical to modern healthcare strategies..

  • How does Direct Primary Care at Body by Blink work?

    a. First, you will need to choose your plan. We offer multiple programs that vary in cost based on your desired level of care.

    b. Once you complete enrollment, you will receive a welcome packet. If you choose a plan with constant health monitoring, we will ship the appropriate smart devices directly to you.

    c. Next, we need to set up an initial visit to discuss all your concerns and health history. This visit will likely take around an hour. After this visit, your doctor will form your yearly healthcare action plan, laying out health goals and steps to achieve them.

    d. You enjoy unrestricted access to routine primary, preventive, and chronic care services. Like a health club membership, you can access your care services as often as needed.

    e. Next, you should choose a supplemental plan to cover what DPC does not, like ER care, hospitalization, and prescription drugs. Because the DPC membership covers routine care, the patient can choose a low-cost option like a high-deductible health plan, a health sharing plan, or accident insurance.

  • Is DPC like insurance?

No, DPC is not the same as health insurance. DPC does not include coverage for large or emergency health costs, like a trip to the E.R. or a stay in the hospital due to illness. For this reason, DPC works best with other forms of protection, like healthcare sharing or accident insurance.

  • Can I use my HSA or Flex Plan with DPC services?

In many cases, yes, but every plan is different, so we ask that you consult your HSA or Insurance provider.

  • Is there a discount for family members?

Yes, substantial discounts are available for family members and children in our plans.

  • What is Remote Health Monitoring?

Using technology like cellular-enabled smart scales, blood pressure cuffs, glucose monitoring, and an intelligent software package, your doctor will use the data to actively monitor your health status and often can predict future trouble and proactively act on your behalf.

  • Why should I join your practice if I'm healthy?

At BBB, we prioritize your well-being in both sickness and health. While we are here to provide care when you are unwell, we also take proactive measures to ensure your overall health, happiness, and prevention of diseases. We understand the limitations of the insurance-based healthcare system, where doctors are often incentivized to focus solely on treatments and medications. However, our approach aims to promote and reward the pursuit of a wholesome and healthy lifestyle.

  • Is DPC really that convenient?

Yes, more than you could ever imagine.  We are the "Easy Button" . Imagine being able to contact your doctor via text, email, video conference, or phone quickly and without hassle.  Need a refill, easy.  Feeling ill, easy.  A question about a medication you saw on TV, easy...You get the picture.  We are all about healthy convenience.

  • Will I ever be charged a surprise charge?

Never, our pricing model is transparent.  You will not be charged anything above your monthly rate unless you participate in some of the ancillary services like medication, labs, or some procedures.  Even then we are transparent in our pricing and negotiate reduced rates for you.  Some people have supplemental insurance plans that do cover some of this and you are welcome to use them.

  • How do I remember all of my membership benefits and understand more about your clinic protocols?

Luckily, we have a convenient patient handbook

  • Do you think that aliens exist?

The question of whether aliens exist is a topic of great interest and speculation, but it remains unanswered definitively. Scientists and researchers have not yet found concrete evidence of extraterrestrial life, such as intelligent alien civilizations or microbial organisms on other planets or celestial bodies.

However, the vastness of the universe, with its countless galaxies, stars, and planets, suggests that it is statistically likely that life could exist elsewhere. There are ongoing scientific efforts to search for signs of life beyond Earth, such as the study of extremophiles on Earth, the exploration of Mars for past or present life, and the search for exoplanets in habitable zones around other stars.

Until concrete evidence is discovered, the existence of aliens remains a matter of speculation and scientific inquiry. It's important to approach this topic with an open mind and rely on the scientific method to explore the possibilities.
